Malnutrition, undernourishment, obesity, NCDs, and micronutrient deficiency are some of the biggest food and nutrition challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS). In response to these challenges, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) was invited to facilitate a meeting on food and nutrition security in SIDS to develop an Action Plan (Roadmap) to address food and nutrition challenges facing SIDS, titled “Food Security and Nutrition: A Global Action Plan for accelerated action in small island development states (SIDS).”

Inform PR
The Greenhouse Studio worked with Inform PR to organise this 3-day meeting within a 1-month period, a daunting task for a meeting involving full logistics management, event production planning, travel and accommodation arrangements for 43 local and international delegates, and design and production of the event’s communication materials (invitations, flyers, prospectus, agenda, interactive posters, programme/report, banners and infographics, powerpoint templates).
Our team embraced the task and worked closely with FAO over the next 30 days to make this event a reality. From sending out invitations, managing RSVPs, liaising with vendors and suppliers, designing the floor plan, creating the event communication materials, managing accommodation and transportation bookings, organising the press conference, supervising the setup of the event at the venue, and serving as secretariat for the meeting and parallel workshops.
