Our history with The University of the South Pacific (USP) began in 2009, when our Managing and Creative Director was doing some freelance work. She was awarded the job to work on USP’s Annual Report that year and the next as well.

In 2011, USP won their first South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE) Annual Report Competition for Category B, a local annual report competition that began in the 1980’s. The next year, USP won again. So even when our Managing and Creative Director became the General Manager at another company in 2012, that relationship with USP continued. When USP was honoured with the Best Annual Report for The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) PR, Marketing and Communications Awards held in Glasgow, it was a fantastic achievement.

Naturally, when our Managing and Creative Director founded The Greenhouse Studio in 2014, USP was one of our first clients. By 2016, USP had won their 6th SPSE Annual Report Competition.

For each USP Annual Report, The Greenhouse Studio conceptualises a report theme complete with theme write-ups, graphical elements,  photography style and the design of templates for key pages and sections.

As one of only two regional universities in the world, USP is supported by twelve Pacific Island Countries – Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The cultures and traditions of these twelve Pacific island nations form the foundation of USP’s colourful and rich visual identity. Each annual report theme reflects this regional identity, history, mission and vision of the University.
